Jason's resume speaks for itself. But compared to other deliveries I have experienced, he and his crew were exceptional.  True professional sailors with years of experience.

Any crew is fine until trouble happens.  If it does, you want a captain who is both resourceful and has good judgement.   In this delivery, I neglected to have the fuel polished.  After 10 hours of motoring in good chop, bad fuel overwhelmed the filters at 2 AM 150 miles off shore.   When replacement filters were not sufficient, he cleverly reran fuel lines from the tank with bad fuel to jerry cans with recent clean diesel.  Because his supply was limited and engine power was still low, Jason altered course for a safe harbor that could be reached alternating slow sailing and motoring.  There, Jason supervised a complete tank cleaning and was on his way with only a half day loss.  He again made sound  course changes including perfectly plotting a midnight run via the notoriously swift  Cape Cod Canal.

Despite  the fuel issue causing the entire route plan to collapse, Jason, and his crew remained in excellent spirits without any complaints and were a joy to work with.  Although Jason had full responsibility for the voyage, he went out of his way to share his plans and seek my input via very-user friendly communication apps.

“I purchased a Beneteau Swift Trawler 34 and couldn’t wait to bring her home. The only problem- she was in South Bristol, Maine and our dock is near Annapolis, Maryland. Captain Jason was my solution. His expert navigation, planning, and training was invaluable on this journey. We had a fantastic, problem-free trip under his leadership. It truly was smooth sailing to bring her home. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for a captain with the experience necessary to transport their yacht safely.”
